Live like a local in Florence
Our program drops you right into the heart of Florence, Italy, where you'll experience amazing scenery, beautiful architecture, historic monuments, tasty food, and raw Italian culture. This course gives you a lived-in experience where you will live and explore like a local. Immerse yourself in the daily rhythms of this historic city.

Explore Italy's iconic destinations
Your journey with the Persuasion and Social Influence course will take you to incredible places. You will visit the beachy shores of Cinque Terre, explore the Lamborghini museum near Modena, and lean with the Tower of Pisa. In Rome, you can visit the Colosseum or roam Vatican City. You can buy authentic Parmigiano Reggiano from Parma or stay in Florence with the Medici's and visit the Gucci museum.

Master the art of Italian cuisine
Dive deep into Italy's renowned culinary traditions. You'll learn how pasta is made at the Barilla factory and then have the extraordinary opportunity to craft your own pasta at the world-famous Le Cordon Bleu culinary institute. This hands-on experience will teach you a skill and connect you to a fundamental part of Italian life.

Important dates and requirements
Summer registration begins December 1. To prepare, you will need a valid passport. UNO students who are not on academic or disciplinary probation and have a minimum GPA between 2.0 and 2.5 (or higher) are eligible to study abroad. Each program has its own specific requirements, so be sure to check with your program provider or the Education Abroad Office. You will also need to be a sophomore during your time abroad.
